Meet the Family

Hello everyone. We are the Trask family - Martin, Sarah and Floryn, and we are proud to open Martin Trask and Family Funeral Directors here in Allestree.

We're honoured to be part of this community and look forward to serving you with the compassion and respect every family deserves when it matters the most.

Starting straight from school, Martin has been in the funeral profession for 39 years now. He joined the Co-op as an apprentice and studied for his diploma in funeral directing in 1987. Martin later qualified with the British Institute of Embalmers in 2000. With his wealth of experience and knowledge, Martin has helped and guided many families in their time of bereavement.

Sarah's career journey working in all aspects of care began at nursery nurse level. She then moved onto nursing and dementia care to her now current role as a learning mentor in a secondary school assisting students with special educational needs and disabilities. Although she won't be seen around the funeral home regularly, she will still have an active involvement. Sarah's extensive experience in caregiving will provide reassurance and comfort to our families.  

Introducing Floryn, though just 7 years old, she embodies the spirit of what we're all about - family, passion and working together. We're so proud to have Floryn growing alongside us. She's a gymnast in the making and adores our family dog, Boo.
